On April 24, 2003, Michael Koelzer and Greg Wright formed Catalyst Microtech LLC, a subcontract assembly service company, located in Austin, Texas. Together, Mr. Koelzer and Mr. Wright created a company with a broad-based network of semiconductor contacts, substantial equipment assets, technologies and capabilities.
Michael Koelzer - President
Mr Koelzer combines 15 years experience through equipment manufacturers such as K&S and ESEC and has obtained a wide variety of process experience through employment with subcontract packaging houses. At K&S, Mr. Koelzer, a senior field service engineer, worked closely with a variety of machines and technologies and provided onsite equipment and engineering support for Intel and other companies. The experience at K&S gave him the opportunity to learn Wafer Dicing, Die Attach and Wirebond technologies that formed a solid foundation of process knowledge.
Mr Koelzer left K&S to join ESEC as a key member of their world wide support organization. He provided equipment and process support for the Micron 2 line of high accuracy die attach / flip chip machines. In this capacity, he refined his process knowledge on die attach and entered the world of flip chip technology that culminated with an onsite support position at Motorola's Power PC production facility in Austin .
Greg Wright - Vice President
Greg Wright, Vice President of Catalyst Microtech and company founder and President of Catalyst Equipment Corp, began his career in this industry as an equipment broker at THE SOURCE in 1977. While there, his activities included equipment sales and acquisitions, liquidation sales, auction consulting and equipment appraisals. Many relationships still active today were born during his tenure at THE SOURCE.

Since the inception of Catalyst Equipment Corporation, Mr. Wright has consulted with Ross-Dove, The Rabin Brothers and other auction companies. He has also sat on the advisory board of Dominion Ventures and consulted with GE Capital, BankAmeriLease, Mellon/US Leasing, CITIBANK and other equipment leasing companies. For these clients, services include both equipment appraisals and off-lease equipment sales.
